Geneva: Rev. Dr. Olav Tveit, the General Secretary of the World Council of Churches has nominated Geevarghese Mor Coorilos, Metropolitan of Niranam diocese, to be on the WCC Drafting Group for Busan Assembly Unity Statement. The drafting group consists of ten selected theologians and church leaders from various parts of the world. The first of the three envisaged meetings of the drafting group will meet in Geneva next week to discuss the framework of the Statement. Ms. Natasha Klukach, Executive Secretary for Ecumenical Relations of WCC is the coordinator of the Drafting Group. As moderator of the CWME, Mor Coorilos is also leading the drafting of the new WCC Statement on Mission and Evangelism. These Statemnsts will be presented to the WCC General Assembly, to be held next year in Seoul, South Korea.
