Manila: The Drafting group of the New Mission Statement of the World Council of Churches met in Manila to finalize the draft of the new Mission Statement. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the National Council of Churches in the Philippnies from 1-4 July, 2011. The group consists of ten theologians and missiologists from various parts of the world and is headed by the Moderator of the CWME, Dr. Geevarghese Mor Coorilos, Metropolitan of Niranam diocese. The new Staement on Mission and Evangelism will be discussed at the forthcoming Mission Conference to be held in Manila next year and will be presented at the next WCC Asembly in Busan, South Korea in 2013.
