Rev. Fr. Sabu Thomas, the Vicar of the St. Mary’s Jacobite Syriac Orthodox, Los Angeles, and St. Ignatius Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church, San Diego, will be consecrated Chorepiscopos by H.E. Archbishop Mor Theethose Yeldho at the St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, October 13, 2012 during the Holy Qurbono. H.E. Archbishop Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan will also participate in the consecration along with clergy from the Malankara Archdiocese and Western Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese.

 

Rev. Fr. Sabu Thomas has been the vicar of the St. Mary’s Church since 1993 and was instrumental in organizing and nurturing parishes at Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, and San Diego. H.H. Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas authorized his elevation to Chorepiscopos in recognition of his dedicated spiritual services to the Holy Church.
