A meeting to register protest against the inhuman and un-Christian attitude of methran kakshi people, shown in disturbing the prayers for the departed on “Aneede” Sunday at Kattapuram was held at Kavumbhagam St. George Jacobite Cathedral on Sunday, February 10, 2013. The meeting also pledged that the Jacobite believers in Kavumbhagam would defend at any cost their right to pray at the tombs of their departed. Mor Gregorios Kuriakose of Kallisserry Region of Knanaya Archdiocese inaugurated the protest meeting. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, metropolitan of Niranam diocese produced over the meeting and Mor Barnabas Geevarghese delivered message of benediction. Very Rev. Dr. Kuriakose Cotepiscopa Moolayail gave the keynote speech. Very Rev. Mathews Corepiscopa, Fr. Markose Panikkaruparambil, Fr. Mathew Philip, Fr. Joykutty Varghese, Fr. Abaraham Adukkuvelil, Chev. Shaji Kumarakam, Chev. Alexander Karakkadu,  Mr. T. M. Mathew and several other leaders addressed the gathering who gathered in their thousands.
