The new council for the Patriarchal Vicariate of UK was elected in the meeting held on October 24 at St. Gregorios JSO Church here. Metropolitan Mor Aphrem Mathews presided over the meeting. The new office bearers for the Spiritual Organisations like Vanitha Samajam, Sunday School, Youth Association, Family Units were elected. Fr. Raju Cheruvallil will serve the vicariate as the Secretary and Fr. Peter Kuriakose as Clergy Secretary. Shri Andrews will be the Treaurer of the Coucil. The council meeting held later in the presidentship of Mor Aphrem recalled the efforts of Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese (Former Patriarchal Vicar) and thanked His Grace for his contributions to the vicariate for the past three years.
