A Grand Farewell was accorded to the former Metropolitan of Mumbai Diocese, Mor Eusebios Kuriakose, on Saturday, 24th August 2013 at St. Gregorios Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Mulund, Mumbai. A large number of people and all the priests of the Diocese, including from far off places like Nasik, Pune, Vapi, Surat, Ahmedabad and Nagpur attended. Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Theethos Episcopa of the Mumbai Diocese of the Marthoma Syrian Church of Malabar, Mor Alexandrios Thomas Metropolitan of Mumbai Diocese, Diocesan Secretary Rev.Fr. Geevarghese Johnson, Diocesan Jt. Secretary Cmdr. Thomas Varghese, Vice President of Vaideekayogam Rev.Fr. Eldho Edappattu, Vice President of Antyokya Vishwasa Samrakshana Samiti Rev.Fr. Eldho Varghese, Vice President of Sunday School Association Rev.Fr. Bobby George, Secretary of Youth Association Jerin John and Secretary of Vanitha Samajam Mrs. Jessy Saju Paul spoke on the occasion. Mr. George Abraham, Convenor & Secretary of St. Gregorios Church, Mulund proposed the vote of thanks. On behalf of the diocese, a golden chain with Cross was presented by Diocesan Metropolitan Mor Alexandrios Thomas. A Gold ring was also presented by the Diocesan Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam members.
