Geneva:  Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, Metropolitan of Niranam diocese congratulated Archbishop  Anastasios of Albania, one of the Presidents of the World Council of Churches, on the publication of his new book “Mission in Christ’s Way”. The book was launched at a function held at the Library Hall of the World Council of Churches during the Central Committee Meeting in Geneva. Mor Coorilos, Moderator of the Commission on World Mission and Evangelism (CWME) of WCC thanked His Beatitude Anastasios who had also served as moderator of the CWME in the past for his contributions to the missiological debate within the WCC and exprssed the hope that the new book would contribute immensly to the process of drafting a new Mission Statement for the WCC, a project the CWME has alreday undertaken. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese is attending the Central Committee meeting of the WCC in Geneva as an Advisor. His Eminence Mor Eusthathius Matta Rohum is also attending the Central Committee as the official member of the Central Committee, representing the Syrian Orthodox Church. The meeting which began on February 16 will end on 23rd of February.
