Busan: Metropolitan Dr. Geevarghese Mor Coorilos, Bishop of Niranam diocese and the current Moderator of WCC’s Commission on World Mission and Evangelism (CWME) addressed the Mission Plenary on Monday, the 4th of November. Mor Coorilos was among the three panelists who spoke about the various aspects of the new WCC Mission and Evangelism Statement. The speech of Mor Coorilos was well received by the Assembly. The video presentation which preceded Mor Coorilos’ address also featured the work of St. Paul’s Mission of India, the Missionary organization of the  Syrian Orthodox Church in Inida. The delegation of the Syrian Orthodox Church is led by His Eminence Archbishop Eusthatheose Matta- Rohum who represents the Church on the WCC central committee. Delegates from India at the Busan Assembly include Joseph Mor Gregoriose, Dr. Kuriakose Mor Theophilus, Mathews Mor Aphrem and Issac Mor Osthathiose.
