KOCHI: The Joint Christian Council has said that the Jacobite  Church should be allowed to build its own church on a plot of land close to the St. Peter’s and Paul’s church at Parumala. A statement issued by the Council here on Sunday said that the move to prevent the Jacobite group from building its own church on land it had bought close to the present church should be condemned. The statement also said that the Jacobite-Orthodox feud was the result of machinations by vested interests, which wanted to control the riches of the church.
