His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurobo on the occasion of New Year’s Eve at St. George Church in Hayy El-Seryan in Aleppo.  His Holiness was assisted by their Eminences Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Mor Timotheos Matthew, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs.

In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the hope that all faithful should have in the Lord and how they should look forward for a better future. He also spoke about the new aspirations Christians hold for the new year.
