On November 7, 2018, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II arrived at Dubai International Airport, on his first apostolic visit to the United Arab Emirates.
He is accompanied by their Eminences: Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Metropolitan of Beirut, and Mor Timotheos Matthew, as well as Very Rev. Raban Jospeh Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Rev. Fr. Markose, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs.
His Holiness and the accompanying delegation were received at the airport by their Eminences: Mor Barthelmaus Nathanael Youssef, Patriarchal Vicar in the United Arab Emirates and the Arabian Gulf Countries, Mor Osthatheos Ishaq, Metropolitan of Mylapore and Delhi and Patriarchal Vicar in the U.A.E., and Mor Severius Kuriakose, Chief Metropolitan of the Knanaya Archdiocese, as well as a number of priests and faithful from our Syriac Orthodox Churches in the country.
His Excellency Mr. Fouad Dandan, Lebanese Ambassador to the U.A.E. was also at His Holiness reception in the airport.
