HG Mor Osthatheos Isaac, Metropolitan of Mylapore & Delhi Dioceses visited Dr. Jacob mor Barnabas Metropolitan, the Apostolic Visitator – Malankara Catholic Church at Ivanios Bhavan Bishops House, Neb Sarai, Delhi on Dec 6th. Both Bishops discussed on various issues relating to the two churces and they specially stressed on the necessity of involving the youth more in the Church and related activities. Mor Barnabas recalled with affection his stay in Mor Gabriel Dayara and Kurkuma Dayra during his visit to Tur-abdeen, Turkey in 2004. He specially recalled that during his stay in Tur-abdeen, he was very much impressed with the Syriac tradition and liturgy of the Church that is still being followed in our ancient monasteries.The discussion also stressed on giving more importance to the usage of Syriac in the liturgy of the church and also to orient the faithful of the Church about the usage of Syriac language in the Church Services.
