DHUKRONO OF ST.THOMAS OBSERVED IN MUSCAT

 

MUSCAT: Dukrono of St.Thomas, the Apostle of India,observed with fervor in St.Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Parish, Muscat. Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe, the Vicar celebrated Holy Qurbana followed by special intercessory prayers with incense. In his perunal message, Rev.Alias Ipe emphasized the importance of Saints and the need of intercessory prayers explicitly showing elegant examples from the Word of God and substantiated by the Syriac Tradition. ” St.Thomas was the embodiment of all Godly virtues. He put in to practice what he learnt from his Lord and the Good tidings. By preaching the Good news, he could give birth to thousands of Christ-followers across the globe irrespective of class,caste and color. His suffereings, determination,way of life and even his matyrdom reveals how he was firmly pinned with Jesus Christ, his Master”.

 

 Hundreds of faithful from far and wide attended the perunal. Nercha was distributed to all present.
