In a historic judgement, The Special Court, Ernakulam granted equal rights for the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church in the Cemetery of Kaadeesa Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Kayamkumlam. The Jacobite Church will have equal rights along with the Metran Kakshis who have been objecting to our rights since the last 30 years.

Bishop Mor Coorilos Green liberation theologian

Geevarghese Mor Coorilos is the bishop of the Syrian Orthodox Church of Malankara. Until the Assembly of 2013, he will be the moderator of the Commission for World Mission and Evangelism (CWME) of the World Council of Churches. On the 24th of September 2010, he addressed the members’ assembly of the Netherlands Missionary Council. Mor Coorilos believes that the worldwide environmental crisis is a matter of injustice.

Rev. Dn Joshi Abraham, The Patriarchal Secretary for Malankara was ordained as Kasheesho by His Holiness Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas Patriarch. He was ordained as Rev. Fr. Markose Abraham amidst the divine Liturgy celebrated at the St. Ephraim Patriarchal Monastery.
