The Third Colloquium Syriacum, organised by Pro-Oriente was held at Vienna from November 9-11 2011.Scholars, who belong to the syriac tradition were invited to the Conferance. The focal point of the meeting was the special Synod for the Middle East which took place in Rome. The Syrian Catholic Patriarch H.B Ignatius Yussif 111 Younan inaugurated the conferance.

H.G. Dr. Kuriakose Theophilose Metropolitan represented the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Church.

Three Senior Priests of Malabar Diocese, Fr. George Manayath, Fr. Geevarghese Kizhakkekkara and Fr. Simon Maliyil  elevated to the rank of Cor Episcopus on November 16, Wednesday, by His Beatitude Catholicos Baselios Thomas I at St. Peter’s & St. Paul’s JSO Cathedral, Meenangadi.

Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, Metropolitan of Niranam Diocese and Patrairchal Vicar for UAE presented a paper on Theological and Erhical Perspectives on HIV and Human Rights at the International Confernce organized by the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance Network and the UNAIDS in Geneva.

The four day long Parish Day celebration and Gospel Convention came to an end on 13th November, 2011. The Gospel message was rendered by Rev. Fr. Paulose Pallathukudi.  The Sunday holy qurbana (tri mass) was offered by H.G.Yaqoob Mor Anthonios, Rev. Fr. V.C.Geevarghese, and Rev. Fr. Paulose Pallathukudi. Special intercessory prayer to mother mary was also done on this occasion. The perunal concluded with Rassa (Procession) and Benediction alongwith Love Feast.

Bahrain St. Peter’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church conducted ‘Idavaka Sangamam’ on Friday, 11th November 2011, 5.30 pm onwards at Indian School Jashanmal Auditorium. Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan Head of Marthoma Church was the chief Guest and  Ms. Amal Al-Bofasa from the Ministry of Social Development, Mr. Abraham John, Hon. Chairman of The Indian School, Mr. Soman Baby, Managing Editor of Daily Tribune newspaper and Vicars of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Bahrain C.S.I Parish, Bahrain Marthoma, St. Paul’s Marthoma churches and Chev. Thomas Abraham were the Guest of Honours .

Youth Association of Niranam Diocese  conducted “St. Gregorios memorial Quiz competetion” at st. mary’s jacobite Syriac Orthodox Curch on 13th Nov 2011, at 3.45 pm. Kevin John and  Nijo varghese from Chennithale Horeb secured the first prize

His Excellency, The Vice President of Republic of India, Dr. Hamid Ansari inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering at Kothamangalam. 

The new council for the Patriarchal Vicariate of UK was elected in the meeting held on October 24 at St. Gregorios JSO Church here. Metropolitan Mor Aphrem Mathews presided over the meeting. 

Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Youth Association Delhi Diocese Organised Night Vigil on 11th Nov 2011 (11/11/11) at St. Peter’s Patriarchal Cathedral, New Delhi. The overnight program was covered with classes, adoration, glorious devotional hymns, prayers followed by confession and counselling.

The Parish Day celebration and Gospel Convention of the St Thomas Jacobite Syrian Church, Bhopal for the year 2011 is began with the Perunnal Flag Hoisting by vicar of the church Rev. Fr Eldo John Chemmikkattu on  Sunday (06/11/11) after the Holy Mass.  All the parish members participated on this occasion.
