The General Body of the Malankara  Jacobite Syrian Sunday School Association, Kandanad Diocese elected Mr.P.I.Kuriakose Padinjarekara as the Director of MJSSA Kandanad Diocese for 2011to 2013. He was the Diocese Secretary from 2005.  He belongs to St.George’s Jacobite Syrian Church, Kunnappilly(Chethicode).  He was the JSSLC First Rank holder in the year 1984.  He is the Headmaster of St.George Jacobite S.S. Kunnappilly.  He is also the Auditor of MJSSA.  He also worked as the Secretary and auditor of his parish.

St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Soonoro Church, Sharjah – UAE are conducting JSVBS for this year from  25th March 2011 – 01st April 2011.

A condolence meeting was held at the Honnavar Mission headquarters in Honnavar on March 11th in remembrance of Late Lamented Mor Polycarpose Geevarghese Metropolitan

His Beatitude Catholicos Baselios Thomas I visited His Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I Iwas at Patriarchal Monastery, Damascus on March 07, Monday. His Beatitude thanked His Holiness for sending a delegation for the Dukhrono of St. Elias III at Manjanikkara.

Funeral ceremony of Mor Polycarpose will be held on Wednesday 2.00 PM at St. Antony’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Cathedral, Jeppu, Mangalore. His Beatitude Catholicos Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I will lead the funeral ceremonies. All metropolitans of Syriac Orthodox Church in India will attend. Mor Chrisostomose Markose & Mor Anthonios Yakoob are present there in the cathedral now. Lots of Priests, Nuns & faithful are flowing to Cathedral to have a last glimpse of their beloved father.
