Niranam Diocese Family Conference – 10 September 2011

Niranam diocese of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church organized it’s first ever family conference in Kavumbhagom St. George Cathedral. The Conference was formally inaugurated by the Yakob Burdana of Malankra, His Beatitude Baselius Thomas 1, Catholicos of the East. His Grace Zacharias Mor Philexinos, Metropolitan of Malabar Diocese and the renowned Dhyana Guru led the retreat and delivered the main talk. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, the Diocesan Metropolitan presided over the conference.







CWME Officers Meet in Dubai

The Officers of the Commission on World Mission and Evangelism (CWME) of the World Council of Churches (WCC) met in Dubai to finalize the list of participants for the Pre-Assembly Mission Confernce of the CWME, to be held in March 2012 in Manila, the Philpines.



Niranam Diocese to organize Family Conference on September 10

Thiruvalla: The diocese of Niranam will organize a Family Conference on September 10 at St. George Jacobite Cathedral, Kavumbhagam, Thiruvalla. This will be the first ever family conference of the diocese. Perhaps, this is the first time, a diocese within Kerala is organizing a diocesan family conference. Preparations are going on under the leadership the diocesan Metropolitan Mor Coorilos Geevarghese and Fr. Matthew Philip, the diocesan Secretary, for the successful organization of the family get together and retreat. His Beatitude Aboon Mor Baselius Thomas 1, the Catholicos of the East will formally inaugurate the family conference at 10 am on September 10. The retreat  and counseling  sessions will be led by the well known “Dhyana Guru” of our Church, Mor Philexinos Zacharias, Metropolitan of Malabar diocese and His Grace’s team. The registration for the conference has already commenced and some 300 families have already registered.
