In a historic judgement, The Special Court, Ernakulam granted equal rights for the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church in the Cemetery of Kaadeesa Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Kayamkumlam. The Jacobite Church will have equal rights along with the Metran Kakshis who have been objecting to our rights since the last 30 years. The last 30 years had been one of persecution for the Jacobite faithful of Kayamkulam Kaadeesa Church. The ugly scenes created by Metran Kakshis during the funeral of departed Jacobite faithfuls belonging to this church and the disrespect shown to the bodies of the departed can be never forgotten by the faithful of this church. A hefty fees was charged by the Metran Kakshis from the Jacobites for burying their dear ones in the Cemetery of this church. A few months back, they had even gone to the extent of desecrating the tombs of the departed belonging to the Jacobite Church. This landmark judgment given by Justice. Harul Rasheed is an answer from God for the tears and prayers of the persecuted and suffering faithful of Kaadessa JSO Church, Kayamkulam. Let us thank God Almighty and congratulate the true believers of Kayamkulam Kadeesa JSO Church for having remained in the true faith handed over to us inspite of the persecutions.
