Holy Synod approved the formation of Mangalore Diocese. H.H Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I has issued Holy Bull regarding the formation of the diocese. His Grace Mor Anthonios Yaqu`b has been appointed as the Metropolitan of Mangalore diocese until further directions from the church hierarchy.
Metropolitan of Singapore, Mor Osthatheos Pathrose appointed as the Assistant Metropolitan to Catholicos for Bangalore Diocese. H.H Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I has issued Holy Bull regarding the change. H.G Mor Dioscorus Kuriakose was the assistant to Catholicos till this decision came.
