15th Harvest Festival of St. George Universal Syrian Orthodox Reesh Church (Valiyapally), Kuwait.

15th Harvest Festival of St. George Universal Syrian Orthodox Reesh Church (Valiyapally), Kuwait, organised by Mar Baseliose Social and Cultural Association (MBSCA), was celebrated at Integrated Indian School, Abbassiya on Friday, Oct 28th 2011 with a full-day multifaceted entertainment programme. The Harvest festival was officially inagurated by H.E Mr. Satish C. Mehta, The Ambassador of India to Kuwait and the meeting was presided over by His Grace Issac Mor Osthatheos, the Patriarchal Vicar for Kuwait. Parish Vicar, Rev. Fr. Sajan T. John welcomed the gathering. Felicitation speeches were delivered by MP Mr. Anto Antory, Rev. Immanuel Ghareeb, Rev. Fr. Biju Kavatt, Rev. Chacko Thomas and Mr. K.P. Koshy. As part of the meeting the Harvest Festival Souvenir was released by His Grace Issac Mor Osthathios and Mr. Dinu Chandran from Western Union, the main sponsor. Mr. T. A Ramesh, Country Head of Gulf Mart was honoured during the meeting with memento. Mr. Jacob John, Church Trustee, Mr. Varghese T. Chacko, Harvest Festival General Convener, Mr. Abraham Jacob Souvenir Convener, Cheveliar Bijou Varghese were also present. Mr. Johnson Varghese, Church Secretary proposed Vote of Thanks. Jeejo George and Susan John compered the programes. The children entertained the audience with thier enthralling performance by dance and songs. Magic show was performed by Magician Sabu. The renowned playback Singers Jyotsna Radhakrishnan, Anwar Sadat and William Issac of Idea Starsinger fame, chilled the audience with a Musical extravaganza. Comedy Show was also performed by Vodafone Comedy Stars, Pole and Rope acrobatic display by Jinu Joy enchanted the audience. Food Stalls offering Kerala delicacies by Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam and Games Stalls by Mar Baselios Youth Association (MBYA) were the added attractions. Mr. George K. John, Program Convener thanked the artists, audience and all who helped organize this festival. //
