Niranam diocese of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church organized it's first ever family conference in Kavumbhagom St. George Cathedral. The Conference was formally inaugurated by the Yakob Burdana of Malankra, His Beatitude Baselius Thomas 1, Catholicos of the East. His Grace Zacharias Mor Philexinos, Metropolitan of Malabar Diocese and the renowned Dhyana Guru led the retreat and delivered the main talk. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, the Diocesan Metropolitan presided over the conference.

One day seminar for teachers was organised by MJSSA Kandanad Diocese at Morth Mariyam JSO Cathedral, here. Hon. Minister Shri K Babu inaugurated the camp. Metropolitan Dr. Mor Ivanios Mathews presided over.

H.G. Geevarghese Mor Coorilose Inagurated the unit of "Shlomo" (Ecological commission of JSOC) at St.George Horeb Jacobite Syrian Church Chennithala. Unit Secretarty Jithin A. Steephen delivered the welcome speech.

Thousands of pilgrims reached the blessed Malekuriz Dayaro on 31 August to participate in the 15th dhukrono of beloved Aboon Mor Baselious Poulose 2nd Bava. Under the leadership of H.G Kuriakose Mor Dioascorose, pilgrims were welcomed to the church premises.

Priesthood Golden Jubilee celebrations of H.G Abraham Mor Severious started. Honorable Minister of the state K. Babu inagurated the public meeting. H.B Catholicose Baselious Thomas 1st Presided over the function.

Niranam Diocese is all set to organize it's first ever Family Conference on September 10, 2011. The Conference will be formally inaugurated by His Beatutude Aboon Baselius Thomas 1, Catholicos of the East. The family retreat and counseling sessions will be led by Mor Philexnos Zacharias, Metropolitan of Malabrar diocese. Various Committees are working under the leadership of the diocesan Metropolitan Mor Coorilos Geevarghese and diocesan secretary, Fr. Mathew Philip. St. George Jacobite Syrian Cathedral, Kavumbhagam is hosting the Family Conference.
